Linovera is a solution based on essential, polyunsaturated, and hyperoxygenated fatty acids of plant origin (EFAs), indicated for the prevention and treatment of stage I pressure ulcers. EFAs, metabolic precursors of prostaglandins, contribute to maintaining the integrity and elasticity of the epidermis and the skin's moisture barrier. The absence or deficiency of EFAs leads to a disturbance in prostaglandin production and degradation of the skin's condition: eczema, erythema, thinning of the skin. Linovera acts by increasing the skin's resistance and promoting capillary repair through the regeneration of epidermal cells, thus preventing the development of lesions. The hyperoxygenated fatty acids (EFAs) present in Linovera promote blood microcirculation, reduce the risk of ischemia, and facilitate the renewal of epidermal cells, increasing the skin's resistance against the agents that cause pressure ulcers. At the same time, they protect against friction, replenish the protective hydrolipidic film of the epidermis, reduce skin fragility, and prevent dehydration. Furthermore, thanks to their antioxidant activity, they also reduce damage caused by free radicals.
